Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I pay my water bill?

We offer 4 ways for our residents to pay their water and sewer bills. If possible include the smaller portion of water bill with your payment.
1. You may stop in the office at 330 N State St from 8:00AM to Noon each weekday morning.
2. You may mail you bill. The Village Post Office Box number is 25.
3. You may place you payment in our secure drop box. If you are paying by cash, please use an envelope and include your name and the amount enclosed.
4. We offer an automatic payment system. Please complete this ACH form and return to the office if you would like to take advantage of this service.

When are the recycling bins in the Village?
Residents are urged to take advantage of the recycling bins on the 4th weekend of each month. The bins are located at the Village Office.

Do I Need a Building Permit?
Yes, you do need a board approved building permit if you plan to add to or build any new addition on your property. There is no charge for a building permit and permits may be obtained at the Village office or at this link. Permits need to be returned to the Village Office for approval. You will be notified when your permit is approved

Does putting a fence in my yard require a building permit?
Yes, you do need a board approved building permit if you plan to put a fence up in your yard.
